Camera Quiver

I'm am realizing I have created a bit of a camera collection over the years and it seems like as of late I have to decide before hand what camera to bring on certain shoots or trips.  I can't bring them all, even though that's exactly what I'd like to do.

Shooting 35mm has reinspired my love for taking photos and capturing moments.  I love the concept of shooting 24-36 shots, having them developed for you, and then receiving final products of your work without any post or decisions.

Perhaps my most favorite that I own is the Nikonos IV.  This is a Nikon 35mm underwater camera that isn't a dslr so you have to really be on top of your game with aperture and focus guessing every shot.  Guessing with experience is more like a game.  Did I get it right?  Did I adjust properly?  My brain doesn't get a chance to point and click without thinking it completely  through.

Many other favorite right now is the dome port for my go pro.  This dome displaces  water just far enough from the lens so you can get shots above and below the surface at the same time.  We call this over under.  It is a completely different thought process from shooting the Nikonos.  With the gopro you are rarely making changes to settings as it is made to just point and shoot.  Both are great.

At the end of the day I'd still have to say that shooting my new fs700 in the water has been the most satisfying feeling yet.  Nothing better than capturing the moment in slow motion and high quality.
